Iron Man opened this weekend and I must say, what a great way to kick-off the summer. 2008 is the year of the superhero, with Iron Man, The Dark Knight, Incredible Hulk, and Indiana Jones all coming out at a breck-neck pace. Also in there is Speed Racer and Hancock (Will Smith plays an alcoholic and former superhero). None of those scream “wait until video” to me.
It’s going to be a great couple months spent at the awesome Cine Capri at Tempe Marketplace, or where ever your favorite place is to watch something on the big screen. Of all of those, plus a few non-superhero-y movies (like horror flick The Strangers), I think the one I’m looking forward to the most is Indiana Jones. Am I alone in my anticipation of the archiologist’s return?
